A 35-year-old man, Kehinde was on Tuesday arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting In Ota for allegedly raping a physically challenged girl.
The police prosecutor, Inspector E. O. Adaraloye, disclosed that Kehinde, who lives at Abule-Isale, Ilogbo Road, Ota, committed the offence at his residence on February 12, 2020, around 10.30pm.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 360, of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun State, 2006.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of rape leveled against him.
The magistrate, Mrs A. O. Adeyemi, admitted him to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Adeyemi also ordered that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to the Ogun State Government.
The magistrate adjourned the case till June 19, 2020, for trial.
