After 30 Minutes Gun Battle,  Boko Haram  Abducts 100 Villagers In Borno Fresh Attack

After close to 30 minutes gun battle with Nigerian Army, not fewer than 100 persons have been kidnapped by Boko haram insurgents in Kukawa, a town in Borno state.

The terrorist group according to a joint task force came with over 20 trucks into the town.

The source said the terrorist group shot indiscriminately in the air as they made their way into the town.

The Insurgents while leaving the town, took about 100 villagers, this was made possible as their fire power and weapons surpassed that of the Nigerian troop.

According to one of the  sources:  “At around 4pm on Tuesday, terrorists in about 20 trucks overran the town of Kukawa. They engaged soldiers guarding the people in a ferocious firefight.”

“After about 30 minutes of engaging the Military in ferocious fire exchange, they (insurgents) were able to overpower them and went away with over 100 hostages.”

As regards the attack, the spokesman of the Army, Col. Sagir Musa when contacted told newsmen to exercise patience, promising that the Military will soon come out with a release.
