FEDPOFFA:  Dr. Ebeloku Procures Four Hand Washing And Sanitizing Machines For 'SBMS' Ahead Of Resumption








The Dean,  School of Business and Management Studies of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Ademola Ebeloku has procured four manual hand washing and sanitizing machines made  by Mechanical Engineering Department of the institution  ahead of resumption.

The HOD of Mechanical Engineering, Engr. Samuel Ogundele during the handing over, proclaimed that the department has produced hygienic machines in series to prevent the spread of Covid-19. He added that aside from the Polytechnic's Management and School of Business and Management Studies that have paid for the machines, some other schools have requested for the machines to combat the novel virus.


Ogundele said: "Covid-19 has thought us what can we  do for ourselves without going to neighbor's house and this is what we have done. We have produced hygienic machines in series to wage war against the pandemic."

However, Dean, School of Business and Management Studies, Dr.   Ebeloku appreciated the Head of Departments of SBMS for the support and acknowledged the technical team of Engineering Department for coming up with different inventions to combat the spread of coronavirus. 




He  said that nobody believes Covid-19 could last longer and that is why the stake holders in  faculties, departments must find a way of curtailing the virus. He added that School of Business and Management studies signed a contract with Mechanical Engineering Department to buy hand washing and sanitizing machines to support the school management in the fight against Covid-19.


While emphasizing on the reality of coronavirus,  Dr. Ebeloku said: " Covid-19 is real and we have to continue to protect ourselves against the pandemic. That is why we have procured these machines for safety purpose." 

Meanwhile, the polytechnic's Director of Research and Development, Dr. A. S. Muhammed reacts to different fabrications across the country. He said, " The pandemic has shown everyone that we have the capacity to innovate but we don't have  challenges. In other countries, they don't wait for challenges before they fabricate things but in  Nigeria, it is challenges that is making us to innovate. It is a good thing to start from somewhere because the innovations might not be much attractive initially but with time, we will get there, the more we do it, the more we specialize in it."
