School Resumption: FEDPOFFA Management Inspects Polytechnic's International Sec. School, Charges Staff, Students To Embrace NCDC Guidelines
Following the Federal Government's directive on resumption of students in exit classes, the Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa led by Dr. Lateef Olatunji has visited the Polytechnic's International Secondary School to ensure strict compliance with preventive measures put in place against Covid-19.
The Management who had earlier provided preventive materials such has face masks, hand sanitizer, antiseptic detergents, infrared thermometer, hand washing and sanitizing machine for the school ahead of resumption, therefore admonished staff and students of Fedpoffa International Secondary school to take heed to National Centre for Diseases Control ( NCDC) guidelines as they resume to school.
The Rector in his address proclaimed that the Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa is much more concerned about the future and health of the students and that is why the school has deemed it fit to put all necessary preventive materials in place to ensure crisis free resumption.
He said, " Covid-19 is real and the whole world is trying to find vaccine to cure it but not yet available. The available vaccine now is to adhere strictly with NCDC guidelines. For the fact that you are still young, you have stronger immunity to survive the pandemic and have brighter future. Always keep safe as you prepare for your final examination. Your safety is matter to us."
Also speaking, Deputy Rector Administration, Dr. Olarongbe Afolabi who is also the school Chairman, Covid-19 Committee enjoins the students to be focused and determined ahead of their examination. While addressing the students, he said, " In America, the campaign is about ' Black Lives Matter' but here in Fedpoffa, your lives and your future matter because your parents have invested a lot to secure brighter future for you. So, we are not only interested in your lives but your future. While some schools are still struggling to resume, Fedpoffa has made all things possible for your safe resumption. Any student without face mask will not be allowed to enter the school premises."
Speaking further, Dr. Olarongbe charged the students to always maintain physical distancing and change the way they relate among themselves for safety purpose.
More so, the Board Chairperson, Fedpoffa International Schools, Mrs. Anthonia Alawaye acknowledged the presence of the management team and appreciated Dr. Olatunji's timely response to ensure crisis free resumption. While the school principal, Mr. Ajala commended the management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa for timely intervention and provision of enough safety materials to ensure crisis free resumption.
