Fedpoffa: HOD Architecture Commissions Resource Centre, Commends Rector For Special Intervention
The Head of Department of Architecture, Arc Adepoju has commissioned a Reference Centre in commemoration of 10 years anniversary of being the Head of Department.
The Reference Centre is an academic cum recreation centre where staff and students can easily have access to academic research works, journals and seminar papers and at the same time relax and refresh themselves after hectic days.
In his opening address, Arc Adepoju commends the kind gesture and swift intervention of the Rector, Dr. Lateef Olatunji towards achieving a well equipped centre.
He said: " I am just a coordinator of this project, some facilities like refrigerator, air conditioner were given to us by the Rector. His special intervention cannot be over emphasized. This Reference Centre is an open ended place, a kind of e-library for the staff and students. The lecturers can come here before or after lectures and relax while students can also go to computer room for their solve academic related problems as it contains shelves where publications and projects of past students will be kept for reference purpose."
The Rector acknowledged the assiduous leadership style displayed by the HOD of Architecture and charged other Dean of Schools, Head of Departments to take a cue from this laudable acconplishment.
According to him" : Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, what we are witnessing today is not common and people that are doing this kind of project are people that have vision. In any position we find ourselves, we must do what will benefit people and that is what HOD Architecture has demonstrated."
