Chelsea Edges Past West Ham 1 Nil As Top Four Race Continues

Chelsea edge out West Ham in a close encounter that will have significant ramifications for the Champions League race.
Tuchel's team did what they do so well these days, nabbing the lead through Werner and seeing the rest of the game out. West Ham picked up briefly at the start of the second half but on the whole were far too timid to cause Chelsea problems.
Chelsea's win cements their position in fourth in the Premier League table. They're one point behind Leicester City in third and three ahead of West Ham in fifth.
It's not a huge gap but it's hard to see West Ham overhauling Chelsea from here.
West Ham will be disappointed but their Champions League hopes aren't extinguished yet.
Chelsea assert their dominance over unfancied opponents, then, while West Ham's limitations are starting to show.
They're still having a fantastic season and have a great chance of getting into Europe in some form
