Lagos Govt. Makes U-turn, Says Churches And Mosques Remain Closed

The Lagos State Government has ruled out the immediate reopening of churches and mosques in the state.

This was disclosed on Tuesday At the Press Briefing commemorating the first year in office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi.

He said that Lagos being the hotspot of the coronavirus would only reopen worship centres until there is a clear coast for the state to do so.

Though, the Federal Government had on Monday, June 1, lifted the ban on mosques and churches in the country, based on guidelines and protocols agreed with state governments
