FEDPOFFA Management Trains ICT, DIPR&P Staff
In furtherance to its efforts to improve on staff development and welfare, the Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa has organized a training on Website Management and Content Management System for staff of Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Protocol ( DIPR&P) and the staff of Information Communication Technology ( ICT) departments of the institution.
The training was funded through Tertiary Education Intervention 'ICT' support program to enhance the performance of personnel in ICT related departments of the institution.
While declaring the Training opened, the Rector, Dr. Lateef Olatunji who was represented by Deputy Registrar Academics Affairs, Mr. Gabriel Soko welcomes the faciliators from 'Phiser Engineering and I.T Solution' and the representatives of Sulham Technical Service Limited to the polytechnic. He also charges the participants to utilize the opportunity of the training to upgrade their well commendable performance.
He said: " I welcome the facilitators and participants to this training. It is a known fact that online activities have taken over everything as the world is now a global village. Even the ranking of higher institutions now is determined largely on how much you are 'I.T' compliance and our rating have been encouraging with myriad accolades from all quarters. We don't want to relent in this capacity and that's why we have carefully selected participants from key departments that are very much involved in website management for this training. I want to urge the participants to give their utmost concentration on this training because the management is expecting positive output through their subsequent performance."
Also speaking, the Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. Olayinka Iroye commended the management of the polytechnic for taking staff welfare and development as priority. Mr. Iroye said, Dr. Lateef Olatunji led administration has always been giving regards to staff development in all ramifications and that has been putting the polytechnic at fore front in terms of academic excellence, research, inventions and innovations which are laudable at local, state and national levels respectively.
He further urged the facilitators and participants to continue to embrace all precautionary measures that are put in place to tackle Covid-19, adding that members should desist from doubting the existence of coronavirus in Nigeria and continue to pray for the Nation to come back to her normal status.
