Katsina State Government says students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, have been freed.
The students were abducted from their school last Friday by unknown gunmen.
Special Adviser to the Katsina Governor on Security, Ibrahim Kastina, confirmed the release on Thursday night
He said the students were freed on Thursday at Tsafe (82.5km via road) from Kankara town in Katsina State where they were abducted.
Also, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad confirmed this via his Twitter handle.
He tweeted, “The abducted students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara have been rescued, the Katsina State Government has confirmed the news. Alhamdulillah.”
