The Sweden international has agreed to keep playing for the San Siro outfit next season

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a one-year contract extension with AC Milan.

The contract, which is  to be worth around €6 million (£5m/$7m) a year plus €1m in additional bonuses, was confirmed by the Serie A side on Thursday.

Ibrahimovic has been one of Milan's top performers during the 2020-21 campaign and seemingly still has plenty to offer, despite the fact he will turn 40 later this year.

The Sweden international has extended his stay with Milan for another season, with Ibrahimovic having been with the Rossoneri since joining them in December 2019 on a free transfer.

"AC Milan has announced that the Club has extended Zlatan Ibrahimović's contract," a statement on the club's website read.

"AC Milan is the Club for which Zlatan has played the most in Italy. After scoring 84 goals in 130 appearances with the Rossoneri, the Swedish striker will continue to be wearing the red and black jersey next season."
