Kwara Deputy Gov. Kayode Alabi Recovers From COVID-19

The Deputy Governor of Kwara State Kayode Alabi recovers from COVID-19. 

Recall that in July some of the aides of the Deputy Governor tested positive to COVID-19.

However Alabi, who is also the chairman of the Kwara COVID-19 technical team, and his wife tested positive for the virus on August 3 and had since been in isolation.


The Deputy Governor disclosed the news of his recovery in a post on his verified Twitter account on Friday.

He tweeted, “It is with great joy that I announce to you that I have tested negative to the deadly coronavirus. I want to use this medium to appreciate God, the author and finisher of my faith, and also to thank everyone who showed concern during the trying time,” he wrote.

The Deputy governor had also warned that the virus is real and presents danger that requires serious caution.


He noted that the state government is determined to flatten the curve of COVID-19 in the state and curb community transmission.


However, the status of his wife was not disclosed.
