FG Approves #623m To Buy 1, 200 Desktop Computers And Printers Amidst Covid-19 Hunger.
When the scourge of Covid-19 is still hot and burning in Nigeria while Federal Government is slashing political appointees salaries including that of aviation workers, the Federal Executive Council has just approved total sum of #623.7 million naira for the Nigeria Customs Service to buy computers for its zonal and area commands.
The Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmad presented the memo for the award of the contract to the council during the meeting on Wednesday which captures the sum of #623, 700, 000 for the 1, 200 desktop computers for the use of the Customs Service all over the country.
The Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed briefed journalists at the end of the second virtual FEC meeting about the memo presented by Finance Minister, Lai Muhammed said, " The Minister of Finance presented a memo for the award of contract for 1, 200 units of colored printers and desktop computers for Human Resources and accounting management systems across zones and area commands of the Nigeria Customs Service which was approved.
